Visit responsibly

Respect the boundary between park land and privately owned land. Permission may be needed to cross or use neighboring property, and public easements have limited purposes. Public motorized travel is prohibited on logging roads inside the park. Do not cut standing trees or camp within 300 feet of a public-use cabin.

The official park page and access maps identify lake and saltwater arrival options. Afognak is about 25 air miles north of Kodiak and has no road access from the city. Check the planned route against park boundaries and landowner requirements instead of navigating to the island’s center.
