Allan H. Treman State Marine Park is a marina and shoreline stop at the southern end of Cayuga Lake in Ithaca, New York. Plan either a walk beside the water or a boating visit with separate launch and slip arrangements. This is a different park from Robert H. Treman State Park south of the city.

Fees, hours, and seasonal access

Keep docks clear and check boating requirements

Keep equipment within the assigned slip and leave dock walkways clear. Open fires are prohibited in the marina. Children age 14 and younger must wear helmets when cycling, skating, or boarding here. Review the marina rules before arriving with a boat.

Respect the working marina

Fishing is prohibited inside the marina basin. Generators are also prohibited there. Quiet hours run 10 p.m.–7 a.m.; only registered boaters may use the marina during that period. Keep pets attended and on a leash no longer than 6 feet outside the designated fenced off-leash area.

Book dockage and complete the license

Use the authorized slip reservation service. A seasonal reservation is conditional until the slip-license agreement and required vessel, insurance, and safety documents are submitted. Complete both steps within ten days of the initial reservation.

Transient boaters check in at 3 p.m. and check out at 11 a.m. Occupy the slip by 9 p.m. on arrival day or call the office. Overnight RV parking is prohibited; a marina booking does not provide a campsite.

Navigate to 805 Taughannock Boulevard, Ithaca, NY 14850. The park trail and access map distinguishes the boat launch, office, parking, and dog area. The reservation provider's Enfield Falls Road mailing address is not this waterfront entrance.

Walk the shore or prepare a lake outing

A shoreline walk or picnic gives a visitor without a boat a reason to stop. The paved waterfront trail continues beyond the marina; choose your own turnaround rather than treating the larger trail network as one required walk.

Boaters can launch or arrange seasonal and transient dockage. Select the slip for the vessel's full dimensions and the actual service season. For birdwatching, bring binoculars to observe wetland and lake birds without approaching them.

Marina services and shoreline facilities

The marina listing includes parking, picnic tables, flush restrooms, showers, drinking water, and sewage pump-out stations. Water can be limited early and late in the season. Confirm autumn services before relying on a refill or shower.

An accessible toilet is listed, but discuss dock access and the route you need with staff. The presence of a paved waterfront trail does not establish access to every slip or shoreline point.

About the marine park

The name behind the marina

The marina honors Allan H. Treman, an Ithaca city and university attorney who chaired the Finger Lakes Park Commission. He died in 1975. The namesake helps distinguish this waterfront property from the separate Robert H. Treman park.

Wetland and lakeshore birds

Hog Hole wetland and Cayuga Lake support waterfowl and other wetland birds. Watch from visitor routes and let birds move and feed without disturbance.
