Crater Lake National Park is a national park in Oregon, USA. The park was established in 1902 and covers an area of 183,224 acres (741 km2). It is the fifth-oldest national park in the United States and the only national park in Oregon. The park is named for its centerpiece, Crater Lake, a remnant of a destroyed volcano, Mount Mazama. The lake is the deepest in the United States and is famous for its blue color and water clarity.

The park is located in the Cascade Range, about 100 miles (160 km) east of the Oregon-California border, in Deschutes and Klamath counties. The park is adjacent to the Deschutes National Forest in the west and the Fremont-Winema National Forest in the east. The park received about 1 million visitors in 2016.

Crater Lake National Park is famous for its blue color and water clarity. The lake is the deepest in the United States and is fed by rain and snowmelt. The lake has a surface area of about 20 square miles (52 km2). The average depth of the lake is 1,148 feet (350 m). The maximum depth of the lake is 1,943 feet (592 m).

The lake is popular for fishing, camping, hiking, and boating. There are several boat tours of the lake, as well as a 33-mile (53 km) Rim Drive that circles the lake. The lake is also home to several species of fish, including kokanee salmon and rainbow trout.
