Guadalupe River State Park is located in south-central Texas, and is home to 4,897 acres of lush natural beauty. It lies along the banks of the Guadalupe River, which winds its way through the Texas Hill Country. The park, which is only an hour from San Antonio, is a popular destination for campers, hikers, cyclists, and fishermen. It’s also ideal for anglers who plan to fish for Bass, Catfish and Guadalupe Bass.

The wildlife in the area is abundant, with over 200 species of birds making the park their home. Among the critters you’ll find are Overlooked Warblers, Screech Owls, Red-tailed Hawks, and Great Horned Owls. A wide variety of mammals such as White-tailed Deers, Coyotes and Bats also live in the park. The plant life here is incredibly diverse, and includes everything from Ash, Cedar and Juniper Trees to grasses and flowers.

The park offers numerous activities for visitors. There are 34 miles of trails suitable for both hikers and cyclists, and three primitive camping sites which are open seven days a week. The rest of the camping sites are set up along the banks of the Guadalupe River and offer amenities such as bathrooms, electrical hook-ups, and grills. In addition, the nearby Spring Lake offers fishing, boating and swimming.
