National and Landscape Parks in Pomerania
Pomerania's parks offer a choice between Baltic coast scenery and inland forest-and-lake landscapes. A beach base can support some coastal outings, while the Tuchola Forest and Kashubian countryside reward a different location and pace.

Choose between dunes and forest lakes
Słowiński National Park protects a coastal mosaic that includes moving dunes, lakes, wetlands and forest. Plan for the route into your chosen dune or coastal area, rather than expecting the main landscape immediately beside every entrance.
Bory Tucholskie National Park is an inland choice in a much wider forest region. Keep the national park distinct from the surrounding forest and nearby landscape parks, which have their own boundaries and access arrangements. The official regional national parks directory introduces both national park destinations.
Landscape parks can suit the base you already have
Kaszubski Landscape Park offers lake-country and glacial-hill scenery inland. Nadmorski Landscape Park provides another coastal choice, while Tricity Landscape Park can be useful for woodland outings near the urban area.
These are broad landscapes, not interchangeable visitor attractions. Choose the particular trail, lake or stretch of coast you intend to use and look at its access rather than the centre of the park on the map.
Check reserve access within the wider park
A landscape park can contain nature reserves with much narrower visitor permissions. The Gdańsk regional conservation authority's access list identifies reserves and authorised forms of access. Do not assume a cycling route through surrounding woodland continues through every reserve.
Give the coast and interior separate days
Coastal wind and the surface of sandy paths can affect an outing even without much ascent. Inland walks may involve hills and muddy ground. Select footwear and distance for the actual route. For a longer Baltic journey, West Pomerania adds the Wolin coast and other protected landscapes, with enough time allowed to change bases.
