Canyonlands National Park is a U.S. National Park located in southeastern Utah near the town of Moab. The park preserves a colorful landscape of canyons, mesas, buttes, and fins carved by the Colorado River, Green River, and their tributaries. The park is divided into four districts: the Island in the Sky, the Needles, the Maze, and the combined Rivers District.

Canyonlands National Park was established in 1964. The park covers an area of 337,598 acres (1,362.2 km2). The park is located in the Colorado Plateau geographic province of North America and is considered part of the Greater Canyonlands.

Canyonlands National Park is home to a wide variety of plants and animals. The park has four distinct ecosystems: the River, the Island in the Sky, the Maze, and the Needles.

The River District is home to the Colorado and Green rivers, as well as their tributaries. The rivers have carved out canyons, cliffs, and other features in the landscape.

The Island in the Sky District is a Mesa top that sits about 1,000 feet (300 m) above the rivers. The views from this district are some of the most popular in the park.
